I have been actively involved in the art of photography since
I was 10 years old. Almost five decades. It all started when my father made me
take money I had been saving out of the bank, he drove me to Bangor. You see, I
had been a royal pain in my mom’s butt, bored beyond words, so Dad figured I
needed a hobby. Being an ex commercial photog himself he knew just what I
needed. We walked into Dakin’s Sporting
Goods who had the largest photographic supply inventory in Eastern Maine at the
time. Dad pointed to a twin lens reflex Yachica 120 camera and said; “You are
buying that!” That was the start of a great journey which is without end I
hope. Each day brings something new to view, something new to try and capture,
something new to remember for life.
